Journey through the Dreamtime’ was inspired by the first green growth of Spring. I’m always appreciating the Divine intelligence reflected through nature and the power of the life force to burst forth and thrive. I was inspired to create an image for a dad gift and I thought of Bear. Strong and gentle. I love the journey of the painting unfolding from one idea into a whole world, step by step.

Morning Prayer

Inspired by the We’Moon theme ‘Silver Lining’ for 2023 – crescent moon. Each morning, with gratitude, I feel into all the aspects of my life where I want to improve and I envision what the experience or frequency of that fulfillment would feel like. ‘Awakening to the Divine Essence’ is an image requested by a friend. He envisioned an angelic being, with wings caught in webs of oppression, struggling to liberate herself. As I am deeply influenced by Eckhart Tolle, I considered the ego, with it’s limiting beliefs and concepts, to be the oppressive element. So as this being sets her gaze on the Divine, she lifts herself to the awakened state…

Illumination

I started a ‘Unity’ painting, at a live painting exhibit at the ‘Unity Festival’ in Slocan, BC, close to where I live. I considered what ‘Unity’ means to me. I was in a Women’s Circle that met once every new moon, and in the opening of the circle, we would sing the directions song, calling on the Spirits of the four directions to bring the essence of their spirit to the circle.
