‘Cosmic Balance’ was inspired as a whimsical dragonfly design for a decal. I often like to use images of the sun & moon in my paintings. It reminds me to step out of the focus of my life & bring my awareness to the infinite vastness of the Universe. And Dragonfly is so beautiful & fascinating to me. They seem to have a curious intelligence as they observe their territory.

Dreaming

I started a ‘Unity’ painting, at a live painting exhibit at the ‘Unity Festival’ in Slocan, BC, close to where I live. I considered what ‘Unity’ means to me. I was in a Women’s Circle that met once every new moon, and in the opening of the circle, we would sing the directions song, calling on the Spirits of the four directions to bring the essence of their spirit to the circle.

Moon Guardian

Moon Guardian was inspired on a visit to the desert in Phoenix. I saw images of these ancient creatures of power encircling the Moon and the Earth in vigilant protection. Dragon is a mystical creature drawing it’s power from the strengths of many animals, revered throughout time by cultures around the world. The original painting is 24″ x 36″, oil on canvas.
