Inspired as a trade for a cranial sacral healer I know… Bringing awareness to the connectedness of all of life. From Spirit, to Earth, to all life, and back to the smallest particle of being, all connected. The original image is from my 20″ x 24″ water mixable oil on canvas painting from 2016. ‘Awakening to the Divine Essence’ is an image requested by a friend. He envisioned an angelic being, with wings caught in webs of oppression, struggling to liberate herself. As I am deeply influenced by Eckhart Tolle, I considered the ego, with it’s limiting beliefs and concepts, to be the oppressive element. So as this being sets her gaze on the Divine, she lifts herself to the awakened state…

Unity

I started this painting, ‘Unity’, at a live painting exhibit at the ‘Unity Festival’ in Slocan, BC, close to where I live. I considered what ‘Unity’ means to me. I was in a Women’s Circle that met once every new moon, and in the opening of the circle, we would sing the directions song, calling on the Spirits of the four directions to bring the essence of their spirit to the circle.
