‘Majestic’ was inspired over time with getting to see the herd of elk in my rural neighbourhood. They seem like gentle giants, grazing peacefully in the grassy fields together.
I got to experience these animals close up when I put alfalfa on my garden as an autumn mulch. Oops. They smelled that beautiful grass and came to visit all winter.
When you see them at the side of the road, they don’t seem that big. But when they are all standing beside your car in the driveway, you realize they are enormous and certainly to be respected.
I feel so grateful to be living here so close to river and forest and the wild creatures. 🙏
