I’ve discovered a new creative process which I am loving! I have been enjoying taking close up photographs of the bees on the flowers in my garden, then painting this zoomed in, expanded image. I love everything about this process! I love the bees. I love the flowers. I love being in the garden. I love getting really still to observe the bees in action. And I am really enjoying the stillness while I’m painting as well; tuning in the the smallest details. I haven’t been one for detail in my art previously, so this is something new and different for me. And this whole inspiration came from wanting to create a nice Mother’s Day card for my mom, who loves flowers.
The original water mixable oil on canvas painting is 16″x20″ created in 2024. This image is available as a card and an 8″x10″ print.
