The ‘Two-gether’ Valentine’s series was inspired by a curiosity of animals that mate for life. I wanted to express the qualities of the bonded pair within their partnership – love, support, sharing the work of life tasks, appreciation, care. This series has been such a pleasure to create, learning about these animal pairs and looking at lots of lovely pictures to bring together the perfect image to express this sweetness.
I am fascinated by seahorses! I was delighted to learn that they mate for life and the male actually carries the developing babies in his pouch!
