‘Ground (I am)’ is one in a series of chakra paintings inspired by my passion for Kundalini Yoga. Muladhara is the sanskrit name for the first chakra, meaning root or foundation.
I chose turtle to represent the essence of this chakra regarding the earth element & fulfilling our basic needs, as turtle walks so close to the earth and carries her home on her back.
